Collaborating with the LS, MS, ES and spearheaded by the Upper School Portfolio class, we all worked together to create an installation for the MLK Day celebration that was inspired by Maya Angelou's I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings. Students collaborated to produce a finished work that is seen here, most fully- from the River Class blog! Students contributed on the cloths their answers to the question, "What do you care about so much that you'd stand up for?"
Fiber Arts Stencil
This is the wonderful collection one student (Ari!) created as gifts for others. Using freezer paper stencils, she created both a t-shirt and a pillow, and her wool felted soaps are on top. So lovely!
Sharing
It is always thrilling when a student has made their own work and brings it in to share. Check out this cathedral, made entirely out of paper! Middle School students sneak over to the US side of the studio to check it out. This did, indeed, take him a very long time to create. Bravo, Ben!
